DUI and Criminal Defense
Attorney Greg Kunkel also has extensive experience representing individuals who have been charge with Driving Under the Influence (DUI) due to alcohol and/or controlled substances. He is a member of the National College for DUI Defense and successfully completed rigorous training approved by the National Highway Safety Administration to be become certified in Standardized Field Sobriety Testing (SFST). This is the same training provided to law enforcement officers in Pennsylvania and across the country. Police officers administer SFST testing before making a decision to arrest in the vast majority of cases. Having an attorney who is also certified in SFST testing and can spot mistakes made by police officers that can affect the validity of the testing. Pointing out mistakes that were made with the testing can lead to arguments to have the testing excluded from evidence or may persuade a judge that the arrest was not justified in a particular case.
Attorney Kunkel also works part-time as an Assistant Public Defender in Fayette County, Pennsylvania, and has extensive experience defending individuals against drug charges, misdemeanor offenses, and serious felonies.
